Nuno is an economist and manager and he was nominated for the “MBA Student of the Year Award 2013”, having been in the shortlist of three best students in the world.
For years, he has dedicated himself to the construction of intelligent, solidary and modern cities. Keeping in his mind that people always come first, in his professional life, he always had the purpose of giving people and organizations a better life.
He is supporting JP in their challenge of transformation, working with people and for people, especially in transforming the world through a better education and transforming education through integrating technology in the classrooms.
Before, he was in charge of local public sector for Microsoft Portugal, leading the local public sector team, sharing the view that digital transformation can bring huge gains in efficiency, rationalization and costs in the city administration.
Previously, he was Deputy Mayor for eight years, with the coordination and management of municipal finances, innovation, strategic studies, local economy and tourism, social promotion and urban mobility.
He has also held positions of Administration in different public companies. These experiences enabled him to lead various projects and to negotiate with international organizations.
For Nuno, social responsibility and taking part in the life of the community is central in his life.
