AI Education Events (AI@EDU EVENTS) showcase the international activities of Millennium@EDU SUSTAINABLE EDUCATION in advancing the responsible use of Artificial Intelligence in Education. Through international conferences, workshops, policy dialogues, teacher training programmes, forums, webinars and strategic partnerships, AI Education Events bring together educators, researchers, policymakers, technology leaders and international organizations to exchange knowledge, share best practices and promote innovative educational solutions. The platform features Millennium@EDU INITIATIVES as well as participation in major global AI events, including UN, UNESCO and ITU forums, international education conferencs, AI governance dialogues, digital learning summits and other relevant Artificial Intelligence events that contribute to educational transformation. These activities support the ethical, inclusive, human-centred and sustainable adoption of AI while strengthening cooperation among governments, universities, schools, industry and civil society. The Forum provides a global platform to exchange experiences, promote ethical and human-centred AI governance, strengthen international cooperation, and explore practical strategies for ensuring that Artificial Intelligence contributes to sustainable development, human rights, inclusion, transparency and the public good across all sectors, including education.

Education in the age of AI: Facts | Frictions | Frontiers

The influence of artificial intelligence (AI) in education continues to escalate. AI tutors are reaching learners who have never had access to personalized support, ‘agentic’ AI systems are beginning to act autonomously, and synthetic content is reshaping how knowledge is produced and validated. At the same time, phenomena such as synthetic research and “ghost learners” are challenging established assumptions about evidence, participation and presence, raising urgent questions for education systems worldwide.

Under the theme Education in the age of AI: Facts | Frictions | Frontiers, Digital Learning Week 2026 will examine what counts as fact in an age of synthetic knowledge, how to navigate the frictions AI is generating across education systems, and what new frontiers are emerging, from public interest AI and digital sovereignty to analogue and community-led approaches. The event will support collective sense-making and action to ensure that human agency, equity and the public purpose of education remain at the centre of education futures.
