Americas Regional Leader for Microsoft’s Education Industry
As Americas Regional Leader for Microsoft’s Education Industry organization, Anthony (Tony) Prince works with education institutions and partners globally to embrace technology to optimize learning environments and student achievement. In this role, Prince oversees the Americas execution of Microsoft’s solutions portfolio and sales programs for the region.
Anthony originally joined Microsoft in 1995 as a Sales Executive handling Enterprise customers in the New York and New Jersey regions. In 1997, he assumed sales leadership for the company’s New York and New Jersey sales offices. Anthony joined Microsoft’s World Wide Licensing & Pricing (WWLP) team in March of 2001. During his tenure in WWLP, he led licensing sales solutions for the Asia, Latin America, and the Americas regions. His responsibilities included the overall operations and management of the Licensing Solutions organization; licensing research & development; launch and deployment of new licensing programs; architecture and support of major customer licensing solutions.
Prior to joining Microsoft, Anthony worked in a variety of hardware sales roles including NCR Corp. as a Sales Executive for the Retail and Hospitality Division; the Teradata division of NCR, handling Massively Parallel Computer Systems sales to Major Accounts in the New York area; and for AT&T Computer Systems Federal Division, managing a sales team handling the U.S. Internal Revenue Service.
Anthony departed Microsoft in November of 2012 to become Vice President for Channel and Platform sales at Velti Inc. where he had responsibility for overall management and market Strategy for sale of Mobile solutions to Agencies and Channel clients including multi-channel marketers, data management companies, and Email Service Providers. He returned to Microsoft in his current role in September of 2013.
He attended Rider University (New Jersey) and earned a BA Degree in Decision Sciences and Computer Programming. He then attended Monmouth University for MBA studies. Anthony is married to Mary Ellen and has three children Anthony Troy and Matthew.
